Nokia’s Lumia 920
seems to be the most
popular Windows
Phone 8 handset out
there – and it’s no
wonder, since it comes
with many appealing
features, including the exclusive
8.7MP PureView rear camera.
In the US, its popularity is helped by
the fact that AT&T is selling it for
just $99.99 on contract (while other
high-end smartphones cost more).
AT&T had offered the Lumia 920
with a free Wireless Charging Plate
since day one – but the offer was
supposed to end this month. Well, it
didn’t. According to AT&T’s website,
customers can get the 920 with a
free Wireless Charging Plate until
February 21. The Wireless Charging
Plate is worth $49.99, so that’s
another thing helping Nokia and
AT&T sell even more Lumia 920
units.
In case you didn’t know, the 920 is
available at AT&T in no less than five
color versions: black, white, red,
blue, and yellow. You can order one
online here.
AT&T is currently selling two other
Windows Phone 8 devices: Nokia
Lumia 820 ($49.99 on contract), and
HTC 8X ($199.99 – 16GB version, or
$99.99 – 8GB version).
We still don’t know exactly how
many Lumia 920 smartphones have
been shipped around the world until
now. Nokia sold a total of 4.4
million Lumias in the fourth quarter
of 2012 – but that includes WP7
devices, too.
